Eat The Dessert First

Do the easy things first. Get the momentum right. You see so many productivity gurus out there are constantly talking about how you need to do the hard things first, when in fact really it's all about getting the momentum and the emotion first in order for the things to take place. You see, what really cripples so many people out there is because they get stuck in their head thinking about all the different reasons and possibilities of why something can't work out, when in fact when you do the easy thing first, think about it what actually happens? You create that initial momentum that eventually gives you the emotion. that makes you actually feel like completing it.

Most of the times why we fail to achieve what we wanted to is because there's this big dream, there's this big ambition and because it is so far fetched and because we're not able to break it down into little milestones and celebrate those little victories that's why people quit. People quit because they are not able to acknowledge the little victories in between of the big thing.

When you have a daunting mountain to climb, it is often best to break it into molehills.
The power of small wins applies just as well to problems in business. Global researchers discovered how critical it is for teams and individuals working on complex problems to achieve small wins regularly. Because setbacks are so common in truly important problems, people become disheartened unless they can point to some meaningful advance most days, even if that advance is seemingly minor, and even if it involves nothing more than extracting insights from the day’s failures. This strategy propels long-term goal achievement.

So, at the end of the day, a big victory is just a accumulation of the really, really small ones, So, start doing the easy tasks first that creates the momentum, that creates the emotion so that you actually end up finishing the entire thing.
